UPM or Universiti Putra Malaysia, one among top university in Malaysia. Located at Serdang, Selangor, took only 20 minutes to get into the main center of Kuala Lumpur. Surrounding by development but UPM still maintain its unique and diversity. One of them was a graze land for cow.

 

 

 

When Human Lost Faith : Answer

From previous post (When human lost faith) about handicapped boy that found in a house with a poor and sad condition. Now, the mother of the kid came and make a statement. Like a said before, everything happens for a reason.

"Everybody blamed me for not to take care of my child but they don't know about hardship of my life and my suffer"

The mother was a second wife and only to be known as Lola, 40 years old said she didn't leave her boy that had cerebral palsy without care but given food before she get to her workplace at KLIA

For a woman alone in the city that everybody had to struggle for life, I agreed with her. Everything happens for a reason but too sad, she had forgotten that she needs to do more that feed him. Personally I sympathize with her.

The Hawker Stall : Taste of Life

Money was important things in our life. Without money we can't buy anything but it's true that money can't buy everything. For myself money was a compulsory thing in our life. It's included in to do list in our life. We need money but please remember that only money was compulsory not wealth. Wealth was a choice. We can choose that we want to wear expensive brand clothes or just normal brand clothes. We can choose that we want to dine in luxury restaurant or small restaurant.

This was a hawker stall that can be seen everywhere in the city in Malaysia.  

For somebody that comfortable with luxury lifestyle, maybe this type of stall was not on their list to dine. Yeah, it's true the stall a little bit dirty and look not comfortable. But the hawker stall has taught me so much thing. Eat with what you had and continue like that even I get rich. I admit, I still go to a fine restaurant on important day but hawker stall still be my choice. 

This was Abdul Karim Pakir, 91 years old. He sold noodles and rojak in the stall for 30 years.

One more thing that's unique with the small hawker stall was that they cook with all they got not by the skill that they earn from cooking academy or university. Until todays, the taste of the food from any hawker stall that I had stepped my foot in wasn't disappointed at all. 

Money is compulsory but how we spend is our choice.

Past Tense : Cat in the Cradle

I was a cat lover. Some of you may know cartoon series Oggy & The Cockroaches. It's about two cats (Oggy & Jack) and three cockroaches (Didy, Joey & Marky) as the main character. I like the show so much but this post wasn't about them. Just to recall my old memories of a kitten that me and my friend collect from college foyer. It's left by somebody for three days before we decide to take care of it. Not too long until we able to find its mom and return it. Done.

When Human Lost Faith

Malaysian was shocked again this week with sad news when a boy was found in a flat house starving while an operation by Immigration. The operation actually aims for illegal immigrant but all of the unit was shocked when they found a body that should be a corpse. Surprisingly the body moving and shock all. The body still alive but in very weak condition.

Happens in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, the boy was just 15 years old. The condition of the boy was not differ from starving kid from Africa but this happens in Malaysia. Sad but true, some of humans nowadays had lost faith in humanity. Luckily, the boy found by authority and saved from man made hell on earth. Now, the boy was sent to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital for treatment.

How about his mother, under custody for further investigation. Hopefully the case like this won't happen again in Malaysia.

**I'm not blaming all to his mother but his father the most.

Coffee in Malaysia

As we know, coffee was internationally accepted and had a different style and unique in each different country or region. As we knew, the most sold and easy to find coffee in the market were Americano, Espresso, Latte and Mocha. How about traditional or local style coffee and I mean in my own country, Malaysia. It's weird that I get inside Starbuck and order Kopi O Ais. In this post I'll explain more about local style coffee.

Coffee and Malaysia

Known as Kopi in Malay, coffee believe was introduced by the British Officer during the Colonial period in Malaya. Besides becoming drink by high rank officer, the drink also become popular among the people in Malaya. In beginning in Malays community, coffee mostly serves at Warung or hawker stall. While in the town, all of coffeeserves in Kopitiam generally run by Hainanese and Hokkien. Todays, warung and Kopitiam can be seen everywhere in Malaysia. Additionally, a new concept of restaurant was known as Mamak stall also serve coffee.

Type

Mostly coffee in Malaysia can divide into two type that's kopi'o (plain coffee) and kopi susu (serve with milk). Both types serve hot or cold. 

When

All Malaysian consume coffee day and night. It's true or not. In my opinion, It's true. For breakfast, coffee had become alternative choice for teh tarik. It's serve along bread or half boil egg. For lunch, some of Malaysian choose to drink coffee ice. At night, coffee become favorite choice for the one that love to hang out for watching football match or midnight movies.

What's infamous

Well known coffee in Malaysia mostly Kluang Railway Coffee and Ipoh White Coffee.

Traditional VS Modern & Import Coffee.

All around the world know that Starbuck, San Francisco Coffee or Coffee Bean were big name in Coffee industry but it only sold non-local coffee. Somebody will laugh at you if you get into Starbuck and order kopi o ais. Soon, local companies had took initiative to come up modern style cafe but serve also traditional coffee. Now, all of this brand can stand equal to Starbuck or Coffee Bean such as Old Town White Coffee or Ipoh White Coffee.

Malaysian Food : Char Kuey Teow

What is this
Char Kuey Teow, a type of noodle dish, a fried rice cake strips. Popular among Malaysian mostly Chinese and Malay. Char in Chinese means stir fried and Kuey Teow means rice cake strip.

Where to found it
In Malaysia mostly it's everywhere. In a big city like Key Hell, we can find the dish almost everywhere. From a big restaurant into small hawker stall on the roadside.

A better love story than Twilight

Most of the people in internet said that this was the amazing love story, even better than Twilight. I agree with this. It's about the old couple that puts their memories in photos together in front their house every season. Uniquely without text but all of photos able to send messages of love. Love story isn't about to get a girlfriend or boyfriend but to get married and being together side by side until the end. For me personally, if somebody falls in love each other, just marry her or him because marrying is an ultimate and an absolute tie between the couple. Back to the photos, it's full of love message that full with the joy of being together till the end.

Chetawan Buddhist Temple (วัดเชตวัน)

Among the Buddhist community in Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas), Wat Thai Chetawan is well known Buddhist temple. The temple located at Jalan Pantai, Off Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. There were several choices of transportation to the temple and the most easiest by taking LRT into Taman Jaya (nearby Amcorp Mall). 

Built in 1956, the land was allocated by Selangor Government at the time and additional space acquired by donations and own funding by Phra Kru Palat Vieng, a veteran member of the Sangha (community of monks). The most special things about the temple were funding a part by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand and grant by Malaysia Government through Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman.  Nowadays, the temple become an important center of Bhuddist teaching and practice in Klang Valley.

Coffee and happiness

Coffee was well known beverage in human history and consumed by all of the country around the world. So, just imagine the market value of any coffee product in the market. Just coffee itself had giving birth to so many coffee franchise such as Starbuck and thousand of product that we can buy it from hypermarket. Different people always drink different type of coffee. We can choose to drink Mocha, Latte, Cappuccino or Espresso. 

Here the things that can relate coffee with happiness

Cheap

Coffee was not consume by the rich only but also being favorite by the average and the poor. Why, because it's cheap. Anybody in the world affordable a cup of coffee. For a rich guys, they just enter the Starbuck and  get a nice cup of Latte or Mocha. Others than that still able to drink a cup of coffee everyday. People had choice. Some of them just consume instant coffee from hypermarket. For people from the rural or remote place, they grow coffee tree and just process the bean by themselves. 

Taste good

Coffee originally a dark color drink that the taste so bitter. In reality the taste still good and unique. For myself, I like to drink coffee without any additional flavor or sugar. However in Malaysia, It's kin weird to order a cup of coffee without sugar. For myself, always face a kind of situation that the waiter ask for my confirmation three times before proceed. "Sir, are you sure to drink a cup of coffee without sugar" and my answer always "Yes, if you are so kind, add more coffee please, thank". Like I says before, different people different taste. Like coffee, some just drink coffee without add-on flavor but for most young generation, they prefer coffee that combine with others element like chocolate or cream. Yeah, we can choose Latte or Cappuccino. It's look good and taste great.

Aroma

Believe me or not, aroma from coffee is very unique. It's has power of relaxation. From stress mind, coffee will help you to fade always the stress. Before brew the coffee, just smell coffee powder and your nose will sense a great aroma. That's the real reason why I always drink a plain coffee. While enjoys a real bitter taste of coffee, it also help me to release a lot. One more unique things from the aroma is it also help to enhance your sense and mind. It's helpful when you can't come up with any ideas. Just relax and get a cup of coffee and everything will be fine.

The Adjustment Bureau

One of my hobbies other than running, photography, writing or sleep is watching movies. Recently this activities limit by my own schedule. Yes, I am a salaryman and I need to work to feed my mouth. This only we got so many movies roaming cinema. Most of the were my favorite such Godzilla or X-Men. Like i said, my time limit and most importantly, I don't want to go to cinema alone again.

From all movies that I had watch, one of it that give me inspiration the most, The Adjustment Bureau. Yes, it was a romantic genre and it seems weird for some one that suppose to watch action drama. Well, I admit It's romantic genre and all about love but I love watch it.

Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior or just know by the name Neymar was a footballer from Brazil. He was a sport star that shine in his career since he was a teen. Born in 5 February 1992 (Even I'm older than him). Currently serve in Spanish club FC Barcelona in La Liga. Still young but very successful in his age, received 2011 South American Footballer of the Year at 19th, again in 2012 and FIFA Puskás Award for Goal of the Year.

Known as reincarnate of the legendary footballer Pele, he is known for his acceleration, speed, dribbling, finishing and ability with both feet. Start playing with Santos (only Santos until transfer to Barcelona). Son of Neymar da Silva, Sr. and Nadine Santos seems to inherit talent from his father as his father also was a footballer. Seems that the skills flow in his vein.

When you miss somebody

Well, everybody should have their own love story, question is it end with tears of joy or pain. I believe that every couple dream to get together till the end of their life but who know it better than God. For myself I fall in love with two women in my whole life, not same time. For every women out there, a guy (not scumbag) always do the best for you. Try to believe and feels it with your heart not your eyes. When you still miss somebody that special and damn important in your life, what your should do. Here, I want to share some tips    for everybody that bad luck in their love life.

Keep believing

Keep a strong willpower in your mind and your heart that she was the one that you love the most. 

Keep praying

Even you were not together with her anymore, keep praying that good things always happen in her life.

Reason

Remember the reason that you fall in love with her.

Promise

Keep in your heart that a promise should never broke. 

Workout

Workout here doesn't mean that you need to go to the gym and shape your body. I mean that both of you had your own dream. Go and chase your dream. Put her or him at the top of the target. All you do or success in future is relate to the person you love.

I don't want to share how to forget because if your didn't have a reason to love her or him, means it is done. If your lover were seperated by death, just let them go.

Past Tense : Tabur East

Tabur or Tabor Hill, the only hiking place that become hot spot for everybody that live in Key Hell that love hiking. Just located side by side with Klang Gate Dam. I already hike the hill twice. Actually fun when hike a vertical clift but too sad when I had to climb it alone. Yeah, most of my friend don't like hiking. Nevermind, just straight to the point. How to get there, just ride along MRR2 until arrive Taman Desa Melawati. From there just follow sign board to Klang Gate Dam.

If you find Klang Gate Dam entrance, so you will find it.

Whole hill was form from quartz. So you can find it everywhere but leave it there. Just take memory home not the stone.

Most of the  tree up here differ from what you find below. Maybe altitude factor make it grow here.

World Cup Brazil 2014 : The Amazing Dog

I don't like soccer or football. When world cup hit Malaysia this month, everybody seems to be excited with their own team and their favorite players but how about myself. Yes, I feels nothing. It's just like everyday of my life. Today i just read a heart warming story related to the world cup. Not about RVP score goal with his flying technique but reunite of a stray dog with it owner. Why it's so special. The dog just walk 500 miles for that. But it not alone. Company by 4 British guys.

This British guys on their mission on charity walk from Argentina to Brazil in order to raise fund to build a water well in Bahia, a poor state in Brazil that hit by drought. Their journey start from Mendoza, Argentina along 1221 miles to Porto Alegre, Brazil. On their journey they had meet a stray dog that had joined their journey for 5 weeks. The dog were given name Jefferson finally meets it owner. Just watch video below how  joy the dog when finally meet with the owner.

What make my village so unique and worth to die for is its nature and calmness. Yes, we don't have any shopping mall or event shop lot. The paddy parcel will make anybody out of stress and feels free at the spot.

Success : It's overnight or long marathon run

After graduating from college or university for almost two years, main issue that goes around my mind is am I success? or just suck. I believe everybody had their own definition of success but differ for everyone. After two years, what shown that somebody had already success? He or she had a stable job with high salary, had your own business, serve as government servant or get married? 

Everyone just had their own long term and short term success standard that he or she want to achieve. For long term just to being rich or live in peaceful mind or become a successful writer or own a big chain retail shop in country. For short term just hit monthly income, get promoted, or event get a good meals at favorite restaurant. Up to us to choose as long as us happy.

Mat Daling Part 1

Mat Daling, a remote village in Pahang that nobody in Malaysia event care. It located along Sungai Pahang. The only ways to access the village by taking 4 hours upstream from Kuala Tahan (The Door to Pahang National Park) or 4 wheels drive along off road track. Event the village was remote but still complete with electricity and water supply. Yeah, additional, it got 3G coverage. So, last week I was sent by my company there to set up GPS control.

Yes, I had to take 4 hours upstream to get there. The result was sunburn because our boat not equipped with roof (nobody care since a surveyor love sunburn).

Kampung Cina

Even though I live in Key Hell for almost 2 years, but I still damn miss my hometown. Yeah, my home town just a remote village in Kedah, northern of Malaysia. It don't have any tall building. Just a small house and paddy parcel along with rubber plantation.

Lets the photo explain itself. On summer, with yellow paddy ready for harvest season and the rubber leaf that start to fall, means our spring.

Past Tense : Malaysian Arms Force day

This wasn't yesterday event but I want to share it here. Of course I'm proud of my country military capabilities. I don't want another World War but enough to show that my country were ready for any threat from outsiders. I already fails on Army Officer Candidate selection this year but I still support our brave soldier.

Kite Kite Park

It take so long for me to write blog again. I have to abandon it just because I don't have a proper internet connection. Well, in Malaysia, to get a cheap internet with excellent capacity means impossible. It's the slowest internet provider with reasonable price in Malaysia. Now, I get back my internet connection and my finger start to type my laptop again. Blog is the only place that I can write what I want to write since I don't have talent to write a book. It just expressing my day and importantly my ideas. 

It almost two years I settle up at Key Hell (suppose to be Kuala Lumpur or KL). Actually I don't like the city since my first time I set my feet here on 2006. When i accepted into UTM KL branch. Yeah, that's old story of mine. Why I still in KL while I hate it so much. Well, my heart was here. Tadaa....!!! I don't want to discuss about this.

Well, Key Hell not worst place in Malaysia at all. It still have my favorite place to go, Kite Kite Park or in Malay is Taman Layang Layang. Located at Kepong, it was a huge lake (old tin mine) that become favorite spot for Key Hell citizen to jog, walk, date or importantly play kite. I also love to run here for few month before quit after my major injury. So, what's left for me. The only thing that keep me visit Kite Kite Park was  a bunch of Catfish. Yeah, catfish and I love to feed them. It look cute when it try to eat Keropok Lekor (Local food made from fish). Their act turn my stress into happy and happy into more happy.  

It's just perfect place for water sport like power boat but it disturb calmness of  the lake.

It got a jetty that perfect place to sit down and calm your mind. Yeah and also feed the fish.
